Chuck and his sweetheart Karen are the parents of three adult children and grandparents of seven grandchildren. He has admiration for Mr. Rogers and an abnormal collection of coffee mugs. Chuck also loves a good book and the occasional Western. The most important thing about Chuck is his passion for God and introducing people to a real and life-changing relationship with Jesus!
Interim Associate Pastor
Stephen has joined our staff as an Interim Associate Pastor, serving with Interim Pastor Ministries. He and his wife, Cathy, have been serving Christ and His church for more than 55 years. His role with us for the coming months is to come alongside Pastor Chuck and to help guide the church into the future. He will be assessing the health of Calvary and making recommendations regarding priorities, policies, and programs. The LeBars enjoy two adult children (in MI and AZ), seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Director of Worship Arts
Addison and his wife Beth are newlyweds and originally from the South. When Addison isn’t jamming out to blues music or disc golfing, you can find him making dad jokes way before he should. Addison loves to share how worship is more than just music and requires constant surrender to the only One worthy of everything we are.
Global Partnerships Pastor
My wife and I have lived in the United Arab Emirates and in Central Asia, each time pastoring International English language churches. Before that we planted two EFCA churches in the United States. In between oversea assignments we worked in pre-field training for workers going overseas in Detroit and the large Arab Muslim community in Dearborn, MI. We have been supported partners with CCC since 1987. In 2012 we were invited to come to CCC to provide member care for the church’s various partners. Because of our passion for the Lord’s church, our academic studies, and our varied cross-cultural ministry experiences, we are delighted to use our gifts and experience to walk alongside our world-wide partners as they process life and ministry transitions, joys and struggles.
Senior Adults Ministries Pastor
Dave and his wife, Susan, have three grown daughters and one granddaughter. He finished his M.Div. at Denver Seminary at age 69, which prepared him to encourage other older adults to engage or re-engage in fruitful service for the Lord. Dave is passionate about helping others grow in their walk with Jesus. If it’s good weather, he still loves to feel the air rushing by as he cruises on his Harley.
Director of Ministry to Women and Connectedness
Becky is married to Rob and mom to two grown children. When she's not drinking coffee she's thinking about drinking coffee and planning creative ways to connect women to other women, the truth of God's Word and to the God who unfailingly loves them.
Student Ministries Pastor
Kelly and his wife, Allie, have two energetic toddlers. As a family, they love playing board games, paddle boarding, and visiting all the different playgrounds in Walworth county! Kelly is passionate about helping teens know they are loved by God and coming alongside them as they learn to live for Him.

Counseling Ministries Pastor
Timmy Hanks oversees the counseling ministry and clinical supervision of social work and counseling interns here at Calvary Community. He has completed multiple graduate schools and holds several licenses. His background in trauma care is extensive and brings continuity, compassion, and commitment to shepherding the counseling ministry. He remains an avid beachcomber, sailor, and scuba diver.
Clinical Counseling Intern
Originally from a suburb of Milwaukee, Stephanie lives in Delavan with her cat Puddleglum. She enjoys reading, traveling, and introverting with her family and close friends. Stephanie loves partnering with people one-on-one and equipping them with practical tools for applying God’s Word to their lives.
Dan and his wife Karen enjoy their two dogs, gardens, and lake life. When he’s not transplanting a flowering bush or reading a nail-biting mystery novel, you can find him talking with friends or keeping up with the grandchildren. Dan believes that a welcoming and safe church environment enhances worship, so he is focused on creating a hospitable atmosphere for all.
Director of Communications
Jean and her husband Glenn have a son, a daughter-in-law, and four grandchildren. She is obsessed with jigsaw puzzles and knitting, but also enjoys rolling down hills with the grandkids and floating in the bay on a warm summer day. What keeps her endlessly glued to her computer screen is her passion to clearly and appealingly communicate the messages of the church so that nothing hinders the message of the gospel.
Jim and his wife Dawn have four children ages 17-26. They have been married for 29 years and have attended Calvary since 1996. Jim started working as the Facilities Manager in September of 2014, and he counts it an honor to serve the Calvary family in this role.
Technology Ministry Coordinator
Bill and his wife Lisa live in Elkhorn and have two sons. When he’s not mixing audio or drumming at Calvary, you will probably find him flying a small plane around the countryside or just spending time with his family outdoors. Bill is passionate about providing a high-quality worship experience and uses his 30+ years of audio mixing experience to remain invisible and “stay out of the way”, so people can truly experience the presence of God through worship without distraction.
Lynette lives in Lake Geneva. She enjoys baking and loves trying new recipes to share with family and friends. Her greatest joy comes in sharing God's love with others in tangible ways, such as a meal, a card, or a phone call.
Bob Karlson and his wife Jodi have two grown children. He likes to work behind the scenes ensuring everything is working soundly from technology in the worship center to the mower in the garage. Our very own “Mr. Fix It” is always willing to help wherever needed. When he isn’t tinkering with a project, he enjoys spending time with his family under the sun in a boat or on a beach.
Sarah is married to her high school sweetheart, Steve, and they have 5 kiddos. When she is not building reports, stepping into various areas of need in the office, or advocating for the “least of these” in the community, she is chillin’ with her family. Sarah admits slowing down and resting in the arms of Jesus is her favorite place to be, however, that does not happen as much as she would like. Chocolate and ice cream help!
Worship Arts and Grounds/Facilities Administrative Assistant
Michelle and her husband, Andy, have two sons. The Nickelsens love spending time together -- playing basketball in the driveway, watching movies, and vacationing on Washington Island in Door County. Michelle finds great joy sharing her love of music and organization! Her heart’s desire is to encourage, equip, and empower those serving alongside her.
Parish Nurse Ministries
Since retirement, Sue has been blessed to use her nursing skills to head up a team of talented nurses to serve the congregation of Calvary. She says that she feels closest to her Lord outside in nature. When she is not outside you may find her enjoying her family, reading, swimming or painting.
Fred is an integral part of our staff team, maintaining a hospitable and welcoming environment for all who call Calvary their church home.
