Living On Mission: 90 Days of Prayer – Week 12

October 20 - 26, 2025

Week 12 Living On Mission: Living on Mission Starts with God

It has been said that the things we think and say about God are the most important things we think and say. Yet it is easy for believers to think about God in terms that make Him seem just like one of us. We cannot afford to have a casual attitude about God because living on mission has to start with Him. Without Him, there is no mission at all.

Day 78: Monday – Even a general knowledge of God causes us to see some of His majesty.

“For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.” Romans 1:19-20

  • Key Thought: God has made this known to all people, so all have some knowledge of Him.
  • Prayer Focus: God, please help me see clearly Your eternal power and divine nature.

Day 79: Tuesday – God has told us how we are to think about Him.

“I am the Lord, and there is no other, besides me there is no God; I equip you, though you do not know me, that people may know, from the rising of the sun and from the west, that there is none besides me; I am the Lord, and there is no other. I form light and create darkness, I make well-being and create calamity, I am the Lord, who does all these things.” Isaiah 45:5-7

  • Key Thought: God is the root of all things, and no wooden or metal idol can compare.
  • Prayer Focus: Father, are there any “wooden or metal” idols in my life I place above You?

Day 80: Wednesday – God is forever faithful, even when we are not.

“Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations, . . .” Deuteronomy 7:9

  • Key Thought: We have “Blessed Assurance” that God is always faithful to His children.
  • Prayer Focus: Holy Father, would You please help me be faithful to You every day?

Day 81: Thursday – God has chosen to love us. We must choose whether or not to love Him.

Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.” 1 John 4:8-10

  • Key Thought: God has been loving us through His Son, Whom He sent to redeem us.
  • Prayer Focus: Lord God, would You please help me love You with all my heart and soul?

Day 82: Friday – God wants us to be holy because He is holy.

“For I am the Lord your God. Consecrate yourselves, therefore, and be holy for I am holy. You shall not defile yourselves with any swarming thing that crawls on the ground. For I am the Lord who brought you up out of the land of Egypt to be your God. You shall therefore be holy, for I am holy.” Leviticus 11:44-45

  • Key Thought: We are called to live holy in Christ, and we are to stay that way, avoiding sin.
  • Prayer Focus: Father, would You please help me pursue holiness today?

Day 83: Saturday – Who is God to you?

“See that you do not refuse him who is speaking. For if they did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, much less will we escape if we reject him who warns from heaven. At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, ‘Yet once more will I shake not only the earth but also the heavens.’ This phrase ‘Yet once more,’ indicates the removal of things that are shaken – that is, things that have been made – in order that the things that cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire.”

Hebrews 12:25-29

  • Key Thought: The things we think and say about God are the most important things we think and say.
  • Prayer Focus:  Father, I am in awe of You. Today I offer You all myself and all my worship.

Day 84: Sunday

I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the Lord!”  Psalm 122:1

Gathering together for worship is a joyful privilege.

  • Key Thought: I can be excited to go and worship the lord!
  • Prayer Focus: That God would prepare my heart for worshiping him today!
